Abuse Counselling
Abuse causes the deepest level of mental health issue. And, it affects a large number of people at the deepest level. As a result, they start seeing the world as it is. This usually takes the form of lower self-image and eventually a person's ability to trust. An abusive relationship can happen at any time in your life - in relationships, during childhood or teenage years. Basically, abuse is when someone misuses power and control over others or uses force and manipulation. The main problem of abusive relationships is that they remain hidden for years.
To help you understand better, here are the different forms of abuse:
Physical abuse-This kind of abuse is usually related to destruction and violence.
Sexual Abuse -Sex without consent is a form of sexual abuse. Usually children and teens are not capable of giving consent. Therefore, if someone has forced you in the past to have intimate relationship, or watch pornography, it is a form of sexual abuse. Ask yourself if you have participated in any kind of sexual experience that you were not comfortable with. Seek help.
Emotional Abuse - Have you been ignored by your partner? Or, experienced taunting, insulting, yelling, blaming, or threatening? Have you been in a marriage in which you experienced accusing or labelling before your divorce?
Anxiety, anger, depression, mood issues ,trust issues are some of psychological effects it has on your mental health .A counsellor will help you manage your anger in a constructive way.
